DIY Slime

Hey guys, yesterday I shared a picture of my son playing with some homemade slime on my Instagram feed.   I really encourage creative play instead of store bought toys all the time.  I truly believe busy hands = busy minds.  It’s great to keep the kiddos entertained while I’m busy preparing dinner or cleaning around the house.  These would even make awesome giveaways for any kid’s birthday party.  I love making slime with the kids because requires just a few ingredients, relatively mess-free and most of all the little ones have so much fun!  See below how to make slime the kiddos will go wild for.

DIY Slime:

  • Elmer’s Glue E326
  • Liquid Starch Sta-Flo Concentrated Liquid Starch, 64 fl oz
  • Food Coloring

Pour entire bottle of glue into a bowl.  You can use white glue if you want but I have found the clear or glitter glue makes the slime more vibrant plus glitter glue adds sparkle.   Mix equal parts liquid starch into bowl, adding 1 oz at a time.   Finish with a few drops of the desired food coloring color and bam, homemade slime.

I hope you all try this recipe.  Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll check back with you all again this week!!!! Til next time.
