Holiday MU 1 scaled up

Hey guys!!!! I can’t believe we are less than a week away from kicking off the holiday season! With so many holiday parties and gatherings right around the corner, I want to share some tips on how to achieve a Holiday Makeup look that’s simple but strikingly glamorous for whatever festivities come your way.

To start,  I always make sure my face is clean and moisturized, especially with cooler temperatures (no cracking skin here!).   First, i primed my eyelids with MAC Prolongwear Concealer to conceal any discoloration then I applied MAC eyeshadow in the shade, Texture, all over the lid to act as my transition shade.  Now to give my eyes a more festive vibe, I used Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Hijack.

Such a beautiful metallic Teal shade

I applied this color all over my lid using MAC’s 242 Shader Brush, making sure to stay below the crease.  I love using this brush when I apply shadows or pigments especially with shimmer on my lids because it really packs on the color so smoothly with minimal color fallout.  After, I applied MAC Eyeshadow in Swiss Chocolate, making a slight “V” on my outer eyelids to tie all the colors together.  Remember the key to applying seamless eye makeup is to BLEND, BLEND, BLEND!!!! Blend until your hand is tired of making circular and windshield wiper movements.  Lately I’ve been using Frankie Rose Cosmetics Foundation in shade Olive for the perfect matte coverage with my Morphe G1 Brush.  This really buffs  in the foundation with ease providing an airbrush quality finish.  As always,  I used Mac’s Prolongwear concealer to diminish any discoloration and dark circles under my eyes and set with Ben Nye Banana Powder.  Once I’ve done and set my concealer, it’s time to finish the eyes.  I mixed the neutral shades, Texture and Swiss Chocolate under my lower lash line using a MAC 219 Pencil Brush, or any pencil brush you may have,  to really give my eyes that smokey look.   I’ve chosen to keep the rest of my face very simple since so much has already been done to my eyes.  I used Sephora Bronzer on my cheeks as a contour and blush then added some Highlight using Smashbox Fushion Soft Lights on the cheeks, forehead and cupid’s bow.  My look is then finished my Mac’s Lipstick in Creme Cup topped with Buxom’s Lipgloss in White Russian.

I hope you all enjoy this look.  Be sure to tag me with all your holiday dolled up faces =)
